Lets hope July is as sunny as June! With the kids breaking up from school it's time for a bit of family time and some welcome distractions for the kids to get their teeth into! Make sure to visit our 'What's On Calendar' for all the upcoming events and get planning those days out!

LONDON

TUDOR JOUST AT HAMPTON COURT PALACE, Surrey
Saturday 15 - Sunday 16 July
Recreating all the pomp and ceremony of a lavish court entertainment, visitors will be immersed into the sights, smells and sounds of the Tudor court, brought to life with dazzling displays of sword fighting, courtly games, and music. 

THE LUNA CINEMA: LA LA LAND AT HAMPTON COURT PALACE, Surrey
Friday 21 July
The stunning gardens of Hampton Court Palace will be the setting for a unique cinematic experience this summer.

SOUTH EAST

NORMAN KNIGHTS TOURNAMENT AT ARUNDEL CASTLE & GARDENS, West Sussex
Saturday 15 - Sunday 16 July
12th century Knights and Crusaders will meet in preparation for the long journey to the Holy Land. A tournament of foot combat will be held on the upper grounds of Arundel Castle, set beneath the 12th century Keep and oldest part of the Castle, where the Knights and Crusaders will hone their skills. 

OPEN-AIR THEATRE AT AVINGTON PARK, Hampshire
Sunday 16 July
Midsummer night. An enchanted forest. Puck and his musical fairy band told a tale of lovers, mechanicals, and magical mayhem. The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company tell this timeless comic tale in their own distinctive and anarchic style. 

THE JUNGLE BOOK TRAIL AT BATEMAN'S, East Sussex
Friday 21 July - Tuesday 5 September
Have fun in the garden of Jungle Book author Rudyard Kipling. The Jungle Book characters are hiding in the garden, follow the trail and find them all to win a Jungle prize!

INTERNATIONAL JOUSTING AND MEDIEVAL TOURNAMENT AT ARUNDEL CASTLE & GARDENS, West Sussex
Tuesday 25 - Sunday 30 July
Destrier Pro HE Ltd will be returning for an exciting and thrilling six-day jousting tournament at Arundel Castle – the longest competition of its kind in the world.

FAMILY GARDENING CLUB SUMMER HOLIDAYS AT OSTERLEY PARK AND HOUSE, London
Friday 28 July
Roll up your sleeves and grab a trowel with your family in Osterley's Little Veg Garden. Get stuck in with digging, planting, weeding and watering as you learn about how vegetables grow in these drop in sessions with the garden volunteers.

CLOVELLY MARITIME FESTIVAL AT CLOVELLY VILLAGE, North Devon
Sunday 16 July
The day will be full of fun and packed with a programme of all sorts of activities and entertainment for all ages. It will be an amazing sight to see, with the boats surrounding the harbour and setting off around the race course. Throughout the day there will be music, street entertainment, activities and games for the whole family.

MEDIEVAL OXBURGH- COSTUME WEEKEND AT OXBURGH HALL, Norfolk

Come and meet the costumed volunteers who re-create 15th century life at Oxburgh. See who would have lived, worked and visited Oxburgh when Henry VII was King.

VITALITY MOVE - FUN RUNNING AND SPORTS EVENT AT CHATSWORTH, Derbyshire

VitalityMove is a running event with a difference. It is designed to entice the reticent runner to join in. Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill is working with a team of like-minded people to seek to fuse music and running to bring a new energy to running.

Mrs Hudson has been visiting the gorgeous scenery that inspired the writing of Jane Austen and the film and TV adaptations of her most famous work, such as Pride and Prejudice. Fans can walk in her footsteps by visiting Jane Austen's House Museum in Hampshire where she spent the most of her last eight years to Basildon Park in Berkshire which appeared in the 2005 film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
